NYT Vindicates Ann Coulter

Ann Coulter has been criticized for many things, but one thing in particular that a lot of people thought was over the top was her proposal in a column on 9/12 that “We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity”.

There have been billions of electrons tortured and spun by writers from left to right criticizing that as “insensitive” and harmful.

But now, in the wake of the kidnapping of two Fox News journalists we find that forcing people to convert is not harmful at all. Even when it’s done at gunpoint.

Fox News Journalists Free After Declaring Conversion – New York Times

JERUSALEM, Aug. 27 Two journalists kidnapped in Gaza were released unharmed on Sunday after being forced at gunpoint to say on a videotape that they had converted to Islam.

If the New York Times says it, then it must be true.

Now I’m sure that those who have waxed apoplectic about Ms. Coulter’s remarks will be apologizing for doubting her. She knew all along that forcing someone to convert their religion at gunpoint is no more harmful than being forced to listen to Kayne West

And we have to ask ourselves what kind of people are these that not only didn’t respect the religious preferences of their captives, but forced them to change them by threat of force. If the treatment of the prisoners at Gitmo is treatment comparable to the Nazis, and we are assured by those on the left that there is absolutely no difference, then this treatment must show that the Palestinians cannot be supported except by those who embrace the values of Nazis.
